This article describes how to log monthly salaries for your employees.

The module Month pay helps you get an overview of all your employees with a monthly salary, and from here, you can also log monthly salaries.

You can find the module Month pay from the left menu by hovering over the bottom yellow clock symbol.

Month pay module explained

In the module, you will find a list of all your employees with a monthly salary. The employees will be listed by their jobs under projects and their connection to a department.

  1. Month and year. You can change the month and year by using the arrows.
  2. Name of the employee.
  3. The article where monthly salary will be logged. The logged monthly salary will be located in the Logged work module.
  4. The monthly salary amount. The deducted salary is shown here if the employee has worked less than a full month.
  5. The monthly invoice amount. This will only show a value if the functionality of the monthly invoice is used in the collective agreement. See this article for how to set up monthly invoices in a collective agreement.
  6. The number of days deducted from the monthly salary is the actual month.  
  7. Shows you the job, project, and customer where the employee works that month.
  8. Shows you the total amount of salary and invoice for the actual month.
  9. → 15. Shows the date where the job is ending in the given month. In this example, the job ends on the 15th of December. If you hover over, you will see the job duration in dates.
  10. 8 →. Shows the date the job starts in the given month. In this example, the job starts on the 8th of December. If you hover over, you will see the job duration in dates.

Note

Only employees with jobs where salary is entered in the field “Month pay” and where the job is connected to a collective agreement with Monthly salary functionality added will be shown in this module. See this article for how to set up monthly salary functionality in a collective agreement.

How to log monthly salary

To log monthly salary, tick all or selected employees (1), and press Create (2). When created, they are marked with a solid green ticked box (3) and can no longer be edited from this module. It is possible to edit and remove the logged monthly salary by entering the Logged work module.

Note

It doesn't matter if you log the monthly salary at the beginning or at the end of a month as long as it is logged before you create the salary.

Note

Absence should not be handled by deducting days from monthly salary in this module since the employee normally logs this or you when logging work.

Note

When logging work, you can also create a monthly salary for a specific employee.
