In this article, you will get an introduction to the job posts module, where you get an overview of your active job posts, applicant statistics and features to edit and create job post notifications.

Overview

In the job posts overview, you get an overview of your active job posts, their active period, which customer and project it is connected to - and also where the job post is published. To the right of the job post information, you also get a glimpse of the applicant statistics: How many candidates have applied to this job post and how many are located in the various steps. Lastly, to the right, you have a few additional features that are good to know about:

  • View job post
  • Tracking links
  • Change the expiration date for the job post
  • Edit job post
  • Create a copy of the job post
  • Delete job post
  • Archive job post
  • Job post notifications
  • Republish to Finn (only relevant if the job post has been published to Finn.no)

Job post information

When a job post is published in RecMan, it receives a tag to indicate where it has been published to an external portal. If it says “page.recman,” that generally refers to the candidate portal for your RecMan corporation, e.g., “customername.recman.no.” By clicking the tag, you will be taken to this location, which is generally the same as clicking the “view job post” button. Other external portals will also be shown here, such as Finn.no and NAV.

If no tags are shown, that just means the job post is saved in the system but unavailable to candidates looking for it. The only way to access the job post as an applicant is to click the “view job post” option - which can be used to email the job post to relevant candidates.

Applicant overview

Going on to check out the applicant statistics, these can be clicked to take you to the applicant overview module - which is useful for screening and processing your new applicants. Below, we’ll elaborate on their meaning:

  • Views: Refers to the number of views on page.recman.
  • Applicants: The total number of candidates that have applied to this job post.
  • Unread: The number of unread applications. You can click the applicants in the application overview to view their profile and also mark them as “unseen” if done so by accident.
  • Untreated: The number of applicants that haven’t been put into a candidate pipeline.
  • In pipeline: The number of applicants being actively processed in a pipeline.
  • Declined: The number of applicants set as “declined.”
  • Hired: The number of applicants set as “hired.”
  • Jobreg.no: Number of candidate profiles in Jobreg matching the keywords set on your job post.
  • Candidate database: Number of candidate profiles in your candidate database that matches the keywords set on your job post.

Processing applicants in RecMan

As a small digression, all new applicants are shown as “untreated.” The general thought in RecMan is to add untreated candidates to a pipeline to begin the recruitment process - where the finalizing steps are to either set them as “declined” or “hired.”

Options: View, edit and create job post notifications

  1. View job post: Clicking view job post is a useful shortcut to check out how the job post looks. This can be accessed even if the job post has not been published, meaning that you can share the job post using the URL.
  2. Tracking links: Tracking links are used to gain insight into where a candidate came from when applying for the job. As an example, when sharing a job post on LinkedIn, the shared URL will contain a small addition at the end, “&path=linkedin,” that will tell the system that this applicant applied coming from LinkedIn.
  3. Change expiry date: This can be used to change the end date of the job post. This will generally unpublish the job post from page.recman.
  4. Edit: This can be used to access and change information on the job post as you see fit. Need to change the application text, shown contact persons or where the job post is published? This is your place to go.
  5. Copy job post: This can be used to create a copy of an existing job post. Useful if you already have created the perfect template for a job post that can be reused at a later time.
  6. Delete job post: This will delete the job post. Generally, it is not recommended unless the job post was made by mistake, as job posts that go past the end date will end up as expired.
  7. Archive job post: Archiving a job post will put it in the “archived job posts” filter. Note that doing so will not depublish the job post from any external job portals.
  8. Job post notifications: Job post notifications can be set up to send out news about the job post to your candidate database. This is a useful tool to get your new recruitment out there, where you can set up various criteria for skills, location and attributes to narrow it down to a suitable selection. Read more about job post notifications here.
  9. Republish on finn.no: For Finn.no, the maximum period for a job post is 42 days. You can use this button for your already published job posts in order to purchase a new period and republish your job post from RecMan, and get all your applicants gathered in one ad.
