Overview

The job post module allows employers to create, publish, and manage job listings. It includes functionalities such as:

  • Job creation: Input fields for job title, description, location, salary, etc.
  • Publishing options: Post to candidate page or external job boards.
  • Application tracking: Connects posted jobs to applicant tracking workflows.
  • Editing & archiving: Enables updates or removal of job posts.
  • Analytics: Provides data on views, applications, and engagement.

Job post information

When a job post is published in RecMan, it receives a tag to indicate where it has been published to an external portal. Candidate page refers to the candidate portal for your RecMan corporation, e.g., “customername.recman.no.” By clicking the tag, you will be taken to this location, which is generally the same as clicking the “view job post” button. Other external portals will also be shown here.

If no tags are shown, that just means the job post is saved in the system but unavailable to candidates looking for it. The only way to access the job post as an applicant is to click the “view job post” option, which can be used to email the job post to relevant candidates.

Applicant overview

To check the applicant statistics, you can click on them to access the applicants tab in the recruitment module. Below, we’ll elaborate on their meaning:

  • Views: Refers to the number of views on page.recman.
  • Applicants: The total number of candidates that have applied to this job post.
  • Hired: The number of applicants set as Hired.
  • In pipeline: The number of applicants being actively processed in a pipeline.
  • Declined: The number of applicants set as Declined.
  • Pending: The number of applicants that haven’t been accepted into a candidate pipeline or declined.

Processing applicants in RecMan

All new applicants are shown as Pending. The general thought in RecMan is to add untreated (pending) candidates to a pipeline to begin the recruitment process, where the finalizing steps are to either set them as declined or hired.

Options

  1. Open in a new tab: It allows viewing the job post, which is a useful shortcut to check out how the job post looks. This can be accessed even if the job post has not been published, meaning that you can share the job post using the URL.
  2. Tracking links: Tracking links are used to gain insight into where a candidate came from when applying for the job. As an example, when sharing a job post on LinkedIn, the shared URL will contain a small addition at the end, “&path=linkedin,” that will tell the system that this applicant applied coming from LinkedIn.
  3. Notifications: Job post notifications can be set up to send out news about the job post to your candidate database. This is a useful tool to get your new recruitment out there, where you can set up various criteria for skills, location and attributes to narrow it down to a suitable selection. Read more about job post notifications here.
  4. Change end date: This can be used to change the end date of the job post. This will generally unpublish the job post from page.recman.
  5. Edit: This can be used to access and change information on the job post as you see fit. Need to change the application text, shown contact persons or where the job post is published? This is your place to go.
  6. Create copy: This can be used to create a copy of an existing job post. It is useful if you have already created the perfect template for a job post that can be reused later.
  7. Archive job post: Archiving a job post will put it in the “archived job posts” filter. Note that by doing so, you will not unpublish the job post from any external job portals.
  8. Delete job post: This will delete the job post. Generally, it is not recommended unless the job post was made by mistake, as job posts that go past the end date will end up as expired.
