A Newsfeed module is a helpful tool for delivering timely and structured news content to an audience. It streamlines the process of creating, managing, and displaying news articles.
What is a Newsfeed module?
A Newsfeed module is a feature that allows users to:
- Write and edit news articles
- Display them on the RecMan-page
- Check how many views the article got
How to use a Newsfeed module
The Newsfeed module is located under the blue home button.
After accessing the module's interface, you'll see a list of existing articles, along with options to add, edit, or delete content.
The Create post button can be found in the top right corner. Clicking it opens the article editor, where you'll input all the necessary content.
Key fields include:
- Heading: A clear, concise title
- Period: Set a From date when the news will be available, and optionally set a To date for when it should end.
- Corporation and Department: Choose which corporation the news should be shared with. The department can be set to all or a specific one.
- Availability: Select who the news should be available for, either Employees, Candidates, or both. If only Employees are selected, more options will appear: for Subcontractors, Active employees and Employees in job.
- Active: Choose from Yes and No if the news article should be published or not.
- Image: Upload an image from your drive or computer and set the maximum width.
- Ingress: Description or subtitle of your post.
- Attachments: Upload the files you wish to attach to this post.
- Text: The main content of your article with a rich-text editor.
Use the editor's formatting tools to:
- Add headings (H1, H2, etc.)
- Insert bullet points or numbered lists
- Embed images or links
- Use bold or italic for emphasis
Before saving/publishing, you can preview the article to see how the article will look when published. The reset button will remove all the data from this news article. Afterward, you will be able to edit or delete published posts.
