Finn.no is a popular Norwegian online marketplace and classified ads website. It allows users to buy, sell, and trade a wide variety of goods and services, including cars, real estate, jobs, electronics, and more. It offers a vast range of categories to browse, including a job post portal that is fully integrated with RecMan.

Integration setup

To activate Finn.no integration, go to the System settings and select Marketplace.

Click the activate button to begin using the Finn.no integration.

Then add your Partner ID.

How to get Finn.no Partner ID

  1. Register as a Business Partner: Sign up on the Finn.no Partner Portal.
  2. Request API access: Apply for API or business services access through their website.
  3. Receive Partner ID: After approval, Finn.no will provide you with a unique Partner ID for your business.

While you may have several Finn.no IDs at once, it is very important that the Partner ID is what you input.

The next step is to choose if Finn.no should be accessible for:

  • All Departments (global access)
  • Specific Departments (restricted access)

Choose whether to enable Easy Apply by default.

Easy Apply feature

This feature allows candidates to apply with a simplified flow without leaving Finn.no while still being compliant with GDPR, improving application completion rates. The Easy Apply checkbox will appear at the final stage of job post creation, defaulting to your Marketplace preference but remaining flexible for individual job customization.

Once configured, Finn.no will appear as a distribution option when creating job posts.

Recommendations

Tips from Finn.no for publishing on their portal:

  1. Try to have up to 3 INDUSTRY or 3 OCCUPATION values if you have only posted with 1.
  2. If the advert text is more than 2000 characters, then we recommend shortening the text, as our data shows that an advert with too long text gives fewer views and applicants.

The current integration does not offer an "ad package" option, which must be added through the "Finn Admin Panel."

Common errors

Posting to Finn.no will sometimes give error messages. Please note that while there is an error message, it may seem insignificant, but it may cause the job post to be incorrect on Finn.no. Please contact our support if you are having issues with this.

Possible solution/troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check that the "End date" is 42 days after the "Start date". Check the Application deadline field, which only accepts the date format (DD.MM.YYYY) or free text.
  2. Be sure to fill in the Job function field when you create the job advertisement in RecMan under Find on External job portals.
  3. This error message comes from the fact that the deadline has not been set to 42 days, which is the policy at Finn. Also, make sure that the date has the correct format (MM.DD.YYYY).
  4. This may occur if the advertising period of 42 days has passed. One solution is, therefore, to go to the job advertisement overview and copy the advertisement to post it again.
  5. Check that the Application deadline field in RecMan is filled in correctly, either as free text or in the date format (DD.MM.YYYY).
  6. Check whether there is an email address in the ad text field. It is forbidden. But you can enter it as example(at)company.no.
  7. This error message comes from the Employer field in the job advertisement being too long.
Why does our logo appear twice in Finn?

Here, you have ticked to include the logo inside the ad and used your own logo, in addition to having the logo on your Finn profile. This causes the logo to appear twice.

Why does the text of my ad appear on Finn.no but not the logo?

For the image to show up on Finn.no, the "attach logo" box needs to be checked before saving/publishing.

When you publish a job advertisement on Finn, you must meet their specifications in addition to RecMan's. When you press Save/Publish, you may receive an error message from Finn.no.

As long as you receive an error message, whatever it may be, the logo will not be included in the ad.
