This article describes integration with Aon.
Overview
With the Aon integration, you can easily send tests to candidates and get the results back into RecMan. This can be set up with automation, meaning all you have to do is move the candidate to the appropriate pipeline step, and RecMan and Aon will take care of the rest.
Note
This integration requires an Aon account. Please contact the Aon consultant and ask for the security code for your Client ID.
How to set up integration
To activate Aon integration, go to the System settings and select Marketplace.
Note
Only users with System Administrator permissions can activate and manage integrations in the Marketplace. All non-Admin users can access and explore Marketplace under the blue Home icon.
Click the blue activation button with the price to begin using the Aon integration.
The next step is to add your Client ID and security code provided by your Aon consultant. Name this Client ID and, with a switch bar button, choose if the Client ID should be accessible for:
- All Departments (global access).
- Specific Departments (restrict access to selected departments).
Press the Create button to save your Client ID settings.
You will be able to manage your Client IDs in the Credentials tab.
Set up tests (projects) in Aon
Log in to your Aon account to add a new project, which will contain a predefined set of tests. Find the Actions tab and select New project in the dropdown menu.
These projects can now be added for candidate evaluation in RecMan. Once you click on the project name, you will see the list of candidates to whom it was sent.
Tips
To maximize the effectiveness of this integration, you are advised to contact Aon to set up various test packages in your system so you can access them through RecMan. In RecMan, we retrieve Aon projects that you can choose from in a recruitment pipeline. It's preferable that Aon manages the setup of these projects, as they can recommend different test combinations and more.
How to use the Aon tool
Access the Recruitment module and choose your project. Then go to the project settings under the dropdown menu → Assessments → Aon.
If it doesn't appear on the list, reach out to your System Admin, and they will check all the configurations.
Add the specific project(s) you intend to use for candidate evaluations.
Configure pipeline steps: In the same Recruitment project settings, choose Pipeline steps. Then select the desired Aon project for the chosen step. In the example below, we add the "My first project" test to the Assessment step in the Finances project settings.
Automate candidate assessments: Once configured, moving a candidate to this pipeline step will automatically trigger the Aon test and send it directly to the candidate.
The assessment may also be sent manually from the bottom actions panel.
When the candidate has completed the test, a score will appear on the candidate card. Once clicked, you will get a link where you can find out more information about the score.
You will be redirected to the Aon screen, where you can download reports after logging in.
