Here you will find general information about the public applicant list, where you will find all relevant information about the applicants.
Public applicant list
According to the Public Administration Act, an application list of all applicants for the position shall be drawn up as soon as possible after the application deadline. The list of applicants is public and must be available from the appropriate administrative authority. The list of applicants must contain the applicant's name, age, position / occupational title and municipality of residence or work. An applicant may request that the name not be published but may not object.
In RecMan, you get access to the public applicant list by going in via the candidate list - selecting the candidates - and selecting the public applicant list from the top menu as shown:
"The Freedom of Information Act, §25, section 2, states that an applicant list shall be created as soon as the application period has passed, and the applicant list shall include name, age, position/title and living- or job location for each applicant. The applicant list is public and shall, according to the Freedom of Information Act, §3, be made available by the relevant administrative entity. The parliamentary ombudsman for administrative matters has stated in section no 95/1535 that the administrative entity is obliged to start the work of preparing the public applicant list before the end of the application period and that the applicant list is normally to be available within 2 or 3 workdays from the end of the application period. Under certain circumstances, if, for example, the number of applicants is very high, it may be acceptable that the applicant list is available a little later."
For more information about the Freedom of Information Act, please see the following website on Norwegian legislation: Lovdata.
Note
A public applicant list is used in connection with employment within public bodies.
There is a full opportunity to take out the list in Excel and adapt it as you want to present it.
Extended applicant list
In addition to the public list of applicants, an extended list of applicants must be prepared, which only other applicants for the position have the right to see. This list of applicants must, in addition to the information provided in the public list of applicants, contain complete information on education, length of service and practice in public and private activities.
In RecMan, you get access to the extended applicant list by going in via the candidate list - selecting the candidates - and selecting the extended applicant list from the top menu button Download.
More information about the Extended Applicant List can be found at Lovdata.
Note
An extended list of applicants is used in connection with employment within public bodies. This list should only be distributed to those who are a party to the case (party access) and no one else.
