When you create a new attribute (System Settings → Candidates → Attributes → +Add), you have several options. The attribute must always have a name, but you also have several options for what type of attribute it should be:

  • Yes / no value – If you have an attribute called, for example, Carpenter, you will be able to set Yes or No to the attribute.
  • Star rating – A rating is set here. If the attribute, e.g., is called Car competence, you can set the number of stars according to how high you assess the candidate's car competence.
  • Text – Here, you have the opportunity to enter free text in the attribute, which then gives you the opportunity to describe your own skills in your own words, or you can make text notes on the attribute.
  • Downsize – This creates a list of options. When using this, only one of the options can be selected.
  • Multiple choice – With multiple choice, you can choose several options, and not just one.
  • Multiple choice assessment – Adds assessment to the multiple choices. This means that you can put a star rating on each multiple choice you choose.

    Note

Multiple choice must be turned on for multiple-choice assessment to work.

  • Shared with candidate - If this box is checked, the attribute you create is automatically shared with all candidates in the candidate database on the candidate's own profile (RecMan page). This can be interesting if you want all candidates, for example, to answer a question. In that case, remember to formulate the attribute as a question. For example: Which of the following certifications do you have?

    Note

Suppose you share an attribute with a candidate. In that case, the attribute will not appear as an alternative in a job advertisement, where you can manually share attributes with candidates who apply for a specific position.

You also have the option to change the order of the attributes via drag&drop. The attributes that are first in the list are also displayed first on a candidate's profile (depending on whether it is shared with the candidate).

Candidate

When a candidate has been given an attribute, it is easy to search for them afterward by, e.g., filtering on the attribute(s) in the candidate database.

Parent attribute

Parent attributes can be created where the answer given to the parent attribute can affect which other attributes appear for the candidate. They can be set up from System Settings → Candidates → Attributes. You can read more about parent attributes here.

Examples of candidate attributes:

  1. "Would you like to receive news from <corporation.name> regarding new positions/jobs?"
    • Yes/no attribute + shared with candidate (optional)
  2. "Closest airport"
    • Combination of dropdown and text
      • Dropdown: e.g. Gardermoen, Vigra, Værnes, Molde etc.
      • Text: To provide additional information, e.g., regarding distance to the airport.
  3. "Work preferences"
    • Multiple choice/dropdown/text
  4. "Borrowed equipment/clothes"
    • Multiple choice/text
  5. "Profession" → Note: Helpful tool for staffing companies to find relevant employees
    • Multiple choice
