Posting multiple job posts under the same project

This article gives the best practices for managing multiple job posts within a single recruitment process.

In the current recruitment workflow, the RecMan system is designed to work best when each project has one recruitment process. However, it is still possible to post multiple job posts under the same project if needed. It can be done directly from the recruitment project overview:

Because candidates share the same pipeline, it is important to use filters to separate and manage applicants by job post.

For example, you can filter by:

  • Job post
  • Department
  • Location
  • Other available attributes

This allows recruiters to review candidates separately, even though they are in the same pipeline.

When this approach works well

Posting multiple job posts under one project works best when:

  • The roles are similar or related
  • The recruitment process is the same
  • The same team manages the hiring
  • Candidates can move through the same pipeline stages

Example

A company hiring multiple Sales representatives across different locations could create one project and multiple job posts, such as: Sales representative – Berlin, Sales representative – Paris and Sales representative – Amsterdam.

All candidates enter the same pipeline, but can be filtered by job post or location.

When you should not use this setup

There are cases where multiple job posts within a single project can cause problems:

  • Candidates applying to multiple job posts
If an applicant applies to more than one job post within the same project, it can create confusion in the pipeline. The candidate will appear only once in the process, which can make it difficult for recruiters to determine which role the candidate intended to apply for. In addition, duplicate or overlapping applications may occur.
  • Different recruitment processes
You should avoid using the same project when job posts require different recruitment setups. This includes situations where roles need different pipeline stages, are handled by different hiring teams, or require different evaluation criteria.

Tips

To get the best results from the recruitment workflow in RecMan, use one project per recruitment process.

If you expect many overlapping applications or different hiring workflows, it is better to create separate projects rather than combine job posts into a single project.
