Use of e-mail feeder in RecMan.
There are several ways to receive inquiries in RecMan. One example is to use the API «Contact us»-form on your website so that every time someone writes, it will be forwarded to the RecMan system as an inquiry. Another option is to set unique receiver email addresses in the system, i.e., email addresses that change the emails to inquiries. Further in this article, we will explain how to set up such email addresses, or email feeders as it is called in the system, and give some examples of how this can be used in practice.
Set up an email feeder
This is done from the System Settings → Database → Press +Create:
In this field, you write the desired name for the email address that is going to work as an email feeder. As shown, all email addresses will get the domain @recman.email. Therefore, it is handy to create an email name that is entirely unique and specific to your corporation, fx. recman.sales@recman.email.
When you have created one or several receiver addresses, they will be shown in the overview here.
For this example, we have set up two receiver addresses so that every email sent to these email addresses will be forwarded to the system as an inquiry. This is in addition to several other things you can set up to make this function even better. Press the wrench symbol, and you will be given the option of changing the settings of the receiver's email address. There are three changes you can make here:
Tags | Here, you can set it up so that every time you receive an inquiry from this receiver address, it will automatically receive a special tag (tags are fetched from the tag register in the inquiry module). |
Type of inquiry | Here, you can set it up so that every time you receive an inquiry from this receiver address, it will automatically be given a type of inquiry (type of inquiry is fetched from the inquiry module). |
Forward email addresses | Here, you can set up forwarding addresses. For example, that sales@corporation.com forwards automatically to sales.corporation@recman.email.This makes it possible to receive inquiries through email addresses that your customers are already familiar with. |
