This article shows how the shift schedules are created in the RecMan staffing settings with two examples and how they can be applied in the Staffing calendar when creating project shifts.
How to create a shift schedule
To generate a shift schedule, go to System Settings → Staffing → Shift schedule. Here, you can create shift schedules by adding how many weeks should be in the shift schedule and defining the time for each work week.
Example 1: To create a shift schedule for an 08:00-16:00 job*, repeating weekly, one week will suffice and defining, e.g., Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00.
Example setup for 08:00-16:00, repeating the same schedule weekly.
*Note that this can be set up in the Collective Agreement or the Staffing calendar without having to create this shift schedule, but it serves as a fully functioning example.
Example 2: To build on the first example, one can add an evening and night shift by adding two more weeks:
Using the shift schedule in practice
With a shift schedule set up, you will be able to fetch it in the Staffing calendar when creating project shifts. Choosing the shift schedule, you get to choose:
- First week: Which work week in the schedule should start first?
- Start date and End date: Defining how long the shift schedule should be repeated.
Then, clicking Add will autofill the dates with the time, as shown in the picture below.
