This article describes the closing period feature in the Jobs and Collective agreements.
Closing period is a powerful feature that gives you greater control over time and expense registration in RecMan. It lets you set precise timeframes for when employees can log their work hours, upload receipts, and manage other time-sensitive entries.
What is the Closing period?
Closing period allows administrators to define specific time windows for various types of entries, ensuring that all registrations align with your business cycles and accounting needs. This feature can be configured at multiple levels:
Key benefits
Streamlined accounting and payroll process: Keep your accounting and payroll periods clean and organized by preventing late entries that could disrupt closed periods. Set boundaries that align with your accounting cycles, customer billing deadlines, and supplier payment schedules.
Flexible time windows: Choose the registration window that works best for your business: Days, Weeks or Months.
Prevent administrative headaches: Say goodbye to the hassle of reopening closed accounting periods or adjusting past records. By setting clear time limits for entries, you maintain clean, accurate records while reducing administrative overhead.
Business impact
This feature addresses common challenges in time and expense management:

Configuration

Use case
Use this function to prevent workers from reporting work on the month that has passed. This would, for example, allow registration "1 day after month end." This solves a problem when consultants can go in and report one week later.
