Information about employment in RecMan.
When you hire a candidate by clicking on Employ, you are asked to fill in the information regarding the employee relationship. All this information will be entered as new employment under the Employment tab.
Since employees can have more than one employment registered, it is possible to create multiple and assign which is the primary and the active employment. See a description of the fields below that are available for employment.
Employment fields
After opening the Employment tab and clicking the edit icon to the right, these are the available fields.
Title* | The title of the employment. |
Primary employment | Select if this is the primary/active employment. |
Employee number | The employee number. |
Employment condition | Select if the employment is a:

Start date* | Start date for employment. |
End date | End date for the employment. If not selected, it will be set as Ongoing. |
Primary employer | Select if this is the primary employment for the employee. |
Department* | Which department does the employee belong to? This is typically the department that pays the employee’s payroll for payroll integrations. |
Responsible co-worker* | Select which system user is responsible for the employment. |
Employee group | Select which employee group the employment belongs to. Only available if set up in the staffing settings. |
Year limit | Year limit, or the full-time equivalent (FTE) is the amount of work an employee can perform in a full working year. The default is set to 1950 (= 37,5 h/week * 52 weeks) including vacation. |
Currency | The employee’s preferred currency. |
Annual Salary | The employee’s annual salary. When inputting the annual salary, the hourly salary will automatically be calculated based on the provided year limit. |
Hour salary | The employee’s hourly salary. When creating new jobs for the employment, the hourly salary will be suggested by default. |
Vacation days | The employee's amount of vacation days. This can be predefined per department for new employments in the staffing settings. |
Guarantee rule | Select which guarantee rule to use on this employment. See the article for Guarantee rule for more information. |
Position percentage | The employment’s position percentage. |
Occupation code | The occupation code for employment. Occupation codes are available in the candidate settings for Norwegian (SSB), Swedish and Danish. |
Subcontractor | Applicable if the employee is self-employed/hired from another company. See the article Subcontractor for more information. |
Social security ID | The employee’s social security ID. You can also specify which country it belongs to for some payroll integrations. |
D-number | The employee’s D-number, an identification number for individuals without a Norwegian national identification number (fødselsnummer). This field can be enabled in the candidate settings. |
Bank account | The employee’s bank account. You can also specify which country it belongs to for payroll integrations. |
IBAN | The employee’s IBAN (International Bank Account Number). This field can be enabled in the candidate settings. |
BIC | The employee’s BIC (Bank Identifier Code). This field can be enabled in the candidate settings. |

Inspecting the employment
When an employment relationship has been active over a period of time, it will be possible to obtain expanded information on how to proceed with their obligations. This information will be displayed by clicking on the arrow and expanding the active relationship under the Employment tab.
