Creating a job

This article describes a new flow for job creation.

There are multiple places in RecMan from which you can create a new job without the need to switch context:

  • Jobs module
  • Staffing tab within the recruitment project
  • Candidate card

A guided four-step flow

The entire job creation flow is presented in a single modal with a persistent Steps panel on the right, showing your progress at all times. A real-time progress indicator tracks how many required fields have been filled per step, so you always know how close you are to completing it. Each step can be revisited without losing previously entered data.

Step 1 - General information

Start by defining the core identity of the job. Set the job name, link it to a project, define the period (fixed dates or ongoing), and assign a responsible co-worker. An optional description field lets you add context early without forcing detail. The modal header always shows the name of the employee you're creating the job for, so there's no ambiguity about who the job belongs to.

Step 2 - Employee

Connect the job to the right employee or multiple employees at once. You can select up to 10 employees in a single flow, with the same job configuration or even unique settings applied across all of them simultaneously. Search from the full employee list with key context visible upfront – roles, teams, existing jobs, and guarantee information – so you can make informed decisions before confirming.

Step 3 - Job details

Define the contractual and operational characteristics of the job. This includes employment type, service type, collective agreement, and work location – everything needed to ensure the job is set up correctly for compliance and operational use from day one.

Step 4 - Economy

Finalize the financial setup. Configure salary type, invoice settings, currency, and pay structure. Advanced options are collapsed by default, keeping the experience clean for common cases while still accessible when needed.

Completion and outcome

Once all required steps are completed, the job is created immediately upon clicking Create. If you selected multiple employees, individual jobs are created for each one in a single action. A confirmation message is shown with a direct link to view the newly created jobs.
