Work logging & Time tracking in RecMan Employee

This article explains how to log, edit, and track your work hours using the Work section and Time tracker.

Work

You can log your work in this section, as well as confirm details of previously logged work.

Work

There are two ways to log work: confirm scheduled hours set by your manager, or manually log work by pressing "+" in the header. Manual logging also lets you record absences or non-hourly work — if you log an absence, you can add a message, and your manager gets an automatic notification.

Existing work schedule

If you already have work scheduled for the current day but haven't logged it yet, a gray dot appears in the workweek calendar as a reminder.

Manual work logging

Select the desired day in the workweek calendar, then press "+". Once logged, the entry appears on that day. You can choose between Ordinary hours and Overtime.

  • Tap the "Current day" button in the top right corner to quickly jump to today's date.
  • If your administrator sets a closing period limit, you can only log work within that time frame.
  • Swipe a suggested work entry to the right to log it, or tap for details to edit it first.
  • Swipe left on a "Did you work?" tile to answer "no." These prompts don't appear on holidays, vacations, or unavailable days.

Deleting logged work

Swipe the logged work row left to delete it, or tap to open its details and edit instead.

Time tracker

The Work timer is a precise, simple way to track work. You can set tracking notifications to start the timer automatically when you approach the workplace, or stop it when you leave.

Log work

Start timer

Press the Action menu button and select "Start work timer." Once started, check your tracked time on the Home screen. Break durations and intervals can be handled automatically based on the job configuration.

Stop timer

Press "Stop" to end tracking and log your time — you can edit the details before saving. After saving, the entry appears in the Work section for that date.

  • You can pause the timer.
  • The app sends a push notification if the timer runs long.
  • Live Activities are supported, so an active timer can be displayed on the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen on compatible iPhones.

Geolocation and tracking reminders

Turn on location-based reminders to get notified when to start or stop the timer:

  1. Allow notifications and location access in the app settings.
  2. Go to My jobs, select your job and click on Edit
  3. Enable Remind me at location.
  4. Set your job address and trigger zone.
  5. Save changes.

Remind me at location

Once set up, the app notifies you as you approach your job location, and tapping the notification opens the Timer screen directly. If the timer is still running when you leave, a notification reminds you to stop it.
