Learn how to make your system more secure by adjusting its security settings.
In RecMan, there is a high focus on security, and there are features that can be utilized to improve the security in your system and for your co-workers and their access. This article will give you an overview of the present security features at your disposal.
Antivirus
To enable one of the most capable cyber security tools in the market, you could do so by ordering one of the following antivirus products. This tool will scan files in your system and give you information about the content of each file. For more information, see Cyber security / antivirus.
BankID
If you want to enable users to authenticate their account with BankID, it must first be activated here. This feature includes both BankID on mobile as well as with a code chip that generates a one-time code. Soon to be released is the option of having such authentication methods for the signing of documents as well.
Authentication policy
Here, you may set up authentication policies for specific kinds of co-worker accounts. If a user is affected by one or more of these policies, they will be prompted to authenticate their account when first logging in. For more information, see MFA and SSO.
You may set up as many as you please and limit them to either corporation and/or types of permissions. Administrators are users with admin permissions, whereas Users are the ones that do not have admin privileges. If you select All, this will include both.
Recommendation
For system administrators, we recommend Yubikey and BankID as authentication methods, as these are known to be the more secure methods.
Yubikey
Yubikey is a hardware authentication, which may be one of the more secure methods in the IT market. You will have to order a physical key from Yubico, and we at RecMan are happy to help you with such a request. We are in direct contact with our providers, and due to there being some setup, we are more than happy to help you in this process.
How to get Yubikey
To obtain one or more physical keys, you may either order them directly by visiting the website for Yubico or contact our support.
Yubikey + password
As Yubikey is a hardware authentication, the method could be even more secure by adding a password.
Sms code
This is the general SMS two-factor authentication, where you will receive an SMS whenever you log in to your account. The code on the SMS will have to be entered before you can log in.
Microsoft SSO
If you have access to Microsoft SSO, you could gain seamless access to all your Microsoft logins, including RecMan. Please visit the Microsoft site for more information about SSO.
Google SSO
If you have access to Google, you can gain seamless access to all your Google logins, including RecMan. Please visit the Google site for more information about SSO.
BankID – Norway
Activate bank-grade authentication with BankID. If you have Norwegian users, you should apply the Norwegian version of this service.
BankID – Sweden
Activate bank-grade authentication with BankID. If you have Swedish users, you should apply the Swedish version of this service.
Vipps
Vipps is close if not equal to the bank-grade authentications found with BankID. This is, of course, no statement or guarantee but an alternative to one of the authentication methods available in RecMan.
Authentication
This section will provide you with information about how many administrators and regular users have the different types of authentication applied.
Logins last three months
As user accesses are connected to an IP address, RecMan will be able to show you the location of the access activity for the last three months.
